Press Control-Shift-Delete. Check only the box that says "Saved Form and Search History". To stop it from doing it in the future, go to Options-Privacy and uncheck "Remember what I enter in forms and Search fields".

Go to Options, Privacy and then click on the "Saved Forms" tab.
Click the button that says "Clear Saved Form Data Now"
You can also turn this saving feature off permanently by unchecking the box "Save information I enter in forms and the Search Bar"

The words you type into your search bar are a part of your autocomplete history. So you need to delete this area of your history. You also may want to consider making Firefox "automatically forget" your PC internet history.
Here is a good site that will show you how to customize your
Firefox browser.

while using firefox push Control+Shift+Delete, that will bring up the clear history options and then just select what you need to get rid of, if you not sure what to select just choose it all. Hope this helps.
