how to split the screen between search engine and display of web sites?

I upgraded to E.I. 7.0 an lost this capability somehow.Also how can I delete Ask.com tool bar from my browser.

You can easily uninstall the Ask Toolbar using the instructions below:


Close all open Web browsers
From the "Start" menu in Windows, select "Control Panel"
Select "Add/Remove Programs"
Select "Ask.com Bar"
Click "Change/Remove"

Now just follow the simple instructions and the Ask Toolbar will be uninstalled. Should you reopen your Web browser and still see the Ask Toolbar, you may need to restart your computer for the uninstall process to be completed.

As far as the split screen, you mean tabbed browsing? In Internet Options, General tab, select Tabs, Settings, and tic the top box.
