Hi! Has anyone heard of Blue Star Properties located in Abu Dhabi? I have been here for a month now and having trouble finding a two-bedroom apartment but these people clame that they have apartments in a number of places though they charge 100 Dhms just to show those apartments. I am willing to pay that much but can I rely on them?! After all, no other real estate agent has given me positive feedback except these folks. I am willing to pay about 80K but even so the feedback from agents has been poor. If anyone thinks they are credible, please let me know! Thank you.

It is so strange. No real estate agencies in UAE will charge any amount (initially) just for showing the apartments. They will charge only at the time of making contract between the tenant and landlord. So I would suggest you to don’t pay any amount until you finalize/select an apartment.

Meantime it is also suggestible to go through the local classifieds to find out a suitable apartment for you. Visit the following link; I hope it will help.

Try your best, good luck.

Go to the yellow pages for many more. It is very common to pay viewing charges and you can be lucky when it's only Dhs 100 and as long as the watchman will not open his hand, too.

Get the todays (Sunday) paper. Most advertisements are in there on Sundays.
Drive around and look for buildungs which are almost finished. Get in touch with the watchman and ask under who's management this buildiung is.
Put notes on the black boards in Supermarkets like Abela or Spinneys. Look through: items for sale. Call Expats leaving and ask if the apartments is still available. Get their landlord's contacts.

Sorry, never heard of Blue Star Properties in Abu Dhabi.

Take care and good luck.
