Will I'm in a minority when I said that 'The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen' was one of the best team ups that has ever been done. The idea of brining together charcters from 1800's fiction was a master stroke by Alan Moore.
Other characters that would have been great to include in that mix would be:
FLASHMAN, TARZAN, SHERLOCK HOMES, VAN HELSING / DRACULA, HIGHLANDER (CONNOR McCLOUD), FRANK & JESSE JAMES, FRANKENSTEIN & MORE H G WELLS CHARACTERS.
