like at the swimming pool, park, around town.. and make good friends that way?

I don't normally go to bars and I don't go to church. I go to a community college and, no I don't find it difficult to make friends. It's easy to make friends just by forming small study groups, or by sitting in the same spot in class each day. Plus if someone says something interesting in class, afterwards I usually say "good point." or "Where did you find out about that?" And then ask if they'd like to make a coffee run with me and just sit and talk.

Yea, it's easy enough, but I usually meet people through work, school or yep, at bars. What's wrong with bars! Huh?

definately, try joining some kind of group, club, or class, for example I have taken Hip Hop and African dancing, and met some great people there. The local libraries may have meetings for literature, films, poetry...etc....taking a college class for enrichment or to further education.
