My 9-10th grade yrs I really didn't see the importance of hw and averaged a 2.6 gpa. and now my junior year I have a 4.0 or 4.28 with my 2 AP classes. BY my senior yr I expect my unweighted GPA to be atleast a 3.2.
Will colleges admissions notice/like my GPA trend??? I've also mover 3 times since I've been in HS. and next year I plan on taking 4 more AP classes.
Do you know any decent colleges in CA, MA, NY, or NC that would probably accept me?
or have any of you gotten into a decent college with a 3.0 gpa? if so please tell me. thank you

Your standardized test scores will also come into play. If your question were asked by someone with an 18 on the ACT and an 800 on the SAT, I would say try community college, but if you put up some good test scores, I would say that you will be fine. I personally got bad grades (2.5ish GPA) in HS and had to listen to my mom tell me that I would never get into college, but my test scores were high enough that I actually got accepted to what I consider to be a good school and got a good scholarship. By the way, your grades are not that bad.

Look in a college listing book for all the details on things like "average SAT score of incoming students", "number of students in attendance", etc..
you will find a school that suits you! you can definitely go to a decent school.
don't worry about reputation as long as it seems like a good school to you and you're comfortable with it. you will get a good education anywhere you go.

I had a 3.0 overall GPA with ALL fails in 9th grade -- went to a top 100 undergrad liberal arts school -- and now i'm in a top 10 graduate program.

your HS grades won't sink you -- but at the same time, don't expect to predict what college admissions committees will do when they see it -- they are very quirky and there is literally no real predicting that is accurate.

just do your best, search online for colleges in your area, get a college guidebook, investigate, and visit some colleges. you'll be fine!

Remember this your gpa isn't bad the most important thing is your ACT or SAT scores.
