Ok, heres the thing...I watch TV, and am sometimes enraged with the people I see on TV commercials. I get angry because I know I can do exactly what they are doing...even better. I cant believe some of the people that get the chance to be in a commercial and I think to myself, Im not as bad as that person. So I wonder, can I actually make it onto a TV commercial? Im not that bad looking from what Ive been told, but I am still light years away from looks such as Brad Pitts. As I wrote already, I have no portfolio of past work because I have never really acted. So is it possible for someone like me to attempt to get into TV commercials? I mean with todays horrible actors and crappys TV show hosts, I think I seriously have a chance. If your wondering what crappy hosts Im talking about, look no further than the G4 channel...Them and many others like VJs on MTV are so boring and talentless and just...retarded. They are my inspiration. So what should I do to try and get into TV commercials

"Acting looks much easier than it is"...Ive never done anything myself but I have been on set for quite a bit of things and Ive seen "acting"...its not that hard at all. Heres what I think, just like there are singers out there and american idol finds them out and they end up being good, there are people out there who can act or read lines as good as half the talentless people in the industry. So pictures and an agent, Ill look into that, but would an agent turn me away just because I have no experience? Or would they put my pics on file?

Acting looks much easier than it is... and a lot of times commercials are bad because of the scripts and production not necessarily the talent.

If you want to get involved you'll need to first contact a photographer and get a portfolio together, then take that to some agents. You can try an agent first, but odds are they'll just send you out to a photographer. Either way, those are the first two pieces you need and they can tell you what to expect from there.

While nothing is completely impossible, it is hightly unlikely since you would be competing with 10s of thousands of people who have experience.

Most commericals are made in L.A. or New York City. Move to one of those cities.
