how do i format my averatec 2200?

please help averatec 2200 amd turion 64, windows xp. 80gb hard drive

i have no disc...dont they have the format software built in?

Sounds so simple, hope there's not a catch.

To install Windows XP, start the pc on the CD. Do a new install, delete all existing partition(s), then format the with NTFS (quick is fine)

By the time the spagetti is done, XP should be up and ready.
First task: install virus scanner. (AVG & AVAST are free)Secondly: do all the Windows updates.
Then check for any devices XP didn't recognize and fix those.
