I would start with a neutral base on my eyes, if they were hazel. Try white, or a creamy off-white. Then, put a medium purple at the corners of your eyes, and brush gently across the crease. Highlight with a lighter shade of purple, or green. Adding green will make the green in your hazel eyes pop. If you want to accent the brown, go purple.
As for lipstick, I'd go with a neutral mauve or rose. Those colors go with EVERYTHING.
I don't usually suggest products, but try finding the Almay line that goes by eye color. I use the kind for green eyes, and I LOVE it. With lipstick, to find a color that goes well, apply a touch to your fingertip. If it goes with your skin, you can pull it off.
The cool thing about hazel eyes is that you can go with just about any look. You can use peaches and tawnies, or you can go green, or purple, or even certain shades of pink. Just not blue. Blue-toned make-up looks TERRIBLE with hazel eyes. This means most red lipstick is out of the question, because it has blue undertones.

With hazel eyes, I suggest that you wear either warm or earth-tone colors. You could always keep to neutral makeup, but if you want your eyes to stand out I would suggest trying a light shade of blue or green that would really bring out your eyes. If you're wearing eye makeup, I suggest that you either stick to a nude shade for lipstick. You could go for a soft rosy color or just stick to clear (or light pink) lipgloss.

Well for starters... try a light green color for eyeshawdow. Also, purple looks good anytime. For lip color, it depends on the color of your lips. Try to make it match. Maybe go to your nearby beauty store where they allow you to use their samples.

Almay products have this great eyeshadow out now. They have different compacts for blue, green, hazel, etc eyes. There's shadow, liner and mascara all to compliment each other and make your eyes stand out. I bought mine at Target and I love it.
