I used to play chess in yahoo before, but now, since they added all these fancy graphics and stuff, my slow computer can't get it to work.
So, I'm trying to find a site to play normal chess, without waiting long time until damn thing finishes loading. Any suggestions? Thanks!

You could try WCN (the World Chess Network). The site allows you to download a small program for playing chess. The main downloading is the program, but that doesn't even take that long. When you have the program, you can play almost instantly. No long downloading/loading times, and no fancy graphics.

The website is www.worldchessnetwork.com .

I think that http://www.letsplaychess.net is an excellent site to play chess. You can register for free, but to take full advantage of the site you need to pay yearly dues. It is not a "finish the game in one sitting" site, if you are looking for that. but I find it a lot of fun.
