The nature of Braxton-Hicks is that they come and go so the fact that they stop means nothing. They are simply preparing your uterus for labor.

Most people experience a real boost of energy before labor. So much so that they clean the entire house or scrub all their floors, etc. but it is no real indicator since everyone is different. There is really no way to know in advance that you are going to go into labor or when you are going to go into labor. However, maybe this will help.

How to tell when you are in real labor:
Contractions are symmetrical.
Contractions begin at the cervix, move up and around to the back or from the back to the front.
They are regular and occur in a predictable pattern.
They get longer, stronger and closer together.
They do not stop if you change what you are doing and walking may make them more intense.

And:
Remember to call your doctor if your water breaks, even if you are not having contractions.

Congrats on your soon to be new family addition! Try not to be very nervous or anxious.
