Major league baseball should be ashamed of itself as well as all the rest of the so called "pros".
it costs $300.00 for a family of 4 to see a game, that is a DISGRACE!
And the idiots that keep on paying this money to see these prima donnas whining are just as to blame. you people need lives.
I'd much rather watch a semi pro team, guys who play for the love of the game, not these little whiners. These jokers get paid no matter how bad they play, don't show up for work tomorrow and see if you get paid.
Money of course has destroyed sports as it has everything else in this world. The reason the yankees win all the time.................they buy their players when 99% of teams don't have the cash to do it.
Sports has been destroyed by business as usual.
Now I'll wait for all the sport nuts who disagree.
Believe me though, you won't GIVE me a ticket to go see these bums.
Wonder how many guys took roids this spring.

BOO HOO HOO, another brokeass bum bitching about sports and ticket prices. Go to college and get a real job and maybe you could afford to go to a game like the rest of us.

First the reason that these guys get payed so much is that no one else can do what these guys can do. In this world people get payed by how rare they are. If you are a drywaller you get payed very little because pretty much anyone can get that job. Baseball players on the other hand are one of a kind. they are very unique people who can do things that nobody else can do! That is why they get payed so much.

About ticket prices. If you owned a buisness and people showed up and were willing to pay to come would you charge them very little or would you charge as much as they would pay? you would do the latter it's just good buisness. I am sure that your family of four could get way cheaper seats if you wanted to. they may not get to sit right next the field but i mean there are like five dollar tix availible at most parks.

About player ego's. It is not the players who have there priority's messed up, it's the fans. if A-rod, or any other baseball player walked over to someone that person would definetely ask for a autograph if he had a pen. This would distort anybody's ego tremendously!

About steroids. For the most part It's not those big superstars who take steroids it's the semi pro guys who are on the bubble. Steroids are the only thing that will keep them in the game. yes there wrong but it's the only thing that they can do in their mind.

I hope this helped a little with your opinion on Major Leauge Baseball. I bet if you met some of these "Bums" outside of the baseball field setting your oppinion would change instantly.

I think what you said brings up a good point. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Your not kidding. One day players are going to be averaging twenty million a year each. And who is going to pay----the fans. I will bet now that one day the hot dogs and sodas will be ten-twelve bucks each. I prefer to save money and sit at home and watch a baseball game on TV. Being that I am a long time Dodgers fan I would much rather prefer to listen to Vin Scully than sit in an uncomfortable seat for three hours.

So exactly how much pot did you smoke? The guys in the major league are some of the most talanted athletes in the world. If you dont want to pay to go to a game, thats fine. But I love going to Cubs games, best atmosphere for baseball at Wrigley.

first of all, don't just rat on baseball players because NBA is much worse, With College Basketball who would want to pay to see lazy players and baseball is much harder than it looks try hitting a fastball and having to read a curve or the spin

Also I believe the cost should be lower but sitting in front of the tv does not compare to taking a family to a game on a nice day the atmosphere is great

It isn't that expensive if you know how to buy and wher to get them. I know that if you go to yankee stadium,, you can get bleachers seats for under 12 dollars...no alcohol is sold but that shouldn't be a concern. You can also buy a season ticket package that you can get 15 games. You get a discount when you buy in bulk. DO the research and you can get in for a lot less!!
Good luck. Baseball is the american game...its always worth it!!

you gotta understand that for the fans that watch pro sports its not about the money they pay to get in its about there love for the game and how the crowed roars though out the stadium it seems to me by the way u talk that u haven't been to many games or none at all or just the wrong ones because i would pay that much to see my team to cheer them on.

don't flame on the pros. you can get tickets way cheaper than $300 for 4, are you trying to get as close to the action as you can? or are you willing to take the upper tier seats that would surely cost less. if you ask the tellers and the gate, they will always give you the closest seats, which increases the price. and it all depends on when you want to see them, and which team. try just buying porch seats, those cost about $10 a pop here at no longer Ameriquest.

that be why i watch game on tv. big waste of money to spend 3 hours watching a game with little action. and the price of beer. what I pay in ballpark, I be getting 3 or 4 beers at home. let not be talking about italian sausage. i go to costco and get same thing for half the price.

baseball player get toilet paper cut, out for several weeks. in hockey, player gets hit in mouth, lose several teeth, he still be skating as if nothing happened.

ahhh....yea it sucks to see em make so much money for hittin a ball....but ya gotta rant on the football players and basketball players too.....ill never see that much money in my lifetime...makes me sick to think they are gettin paind thousands and some millions to play a sport...thats why im more into college cause they are still playing from the heart not for the money....if everyone quit paying to see them maybe prices would go down or maybe their paychecks would....i could do alot of damage with the money they make every year...think of all the people they could help with that money....and dont even get me started on congress and how they give theirselves a raise every year that we pay for....its a load of crap they dont need that much money to live off of...they wouldnt last a day in the real world working paycheck to paycheck

If you have a problem with the prices then talk to the directors!!! Don't bring it up on Yahoo Answers. No Body cares if you will go or not. You either are a sports fan and pay the price to go or you stay home and watch it on the television. I happen to be a Sports Nut who would pay to see a sports game, No matter what sport it is.
