It's easier to sit back and have somebody else do your dirty deeds done dirt cheap.

First off, I already enlisted, and reenlisted. Second, I am not pro-war. I am simply pro-victory; I am anti-hand Iraq over to the terrorists. You might remember Somalia, when Clinton sent us in for a day. We won, but since we left prematurely, the warlords viewed it as their victory, because that was their objective: to get us out and keep control of the country.
I voted for Bush twice. I didn't think he was the best man for the job either time, but he was certainly the better of the available options.
I also didn't think we should come into Iraq. but we did, and now it is my mission.
I also thought we were going to just bomb the hell out of everything and then rebuild it, but for some reason we have to be diplomatic about war. I don't get that.

And you are in what service? So what you are saying is that unless you have served or are serving, you should not be pro-war? So with that hefty bit of logic in mind, the only person qualified in '08 is McCain? And of course, that means the American public was correct when they voted Bush in. Wow, what happens if we get a President in who has never served? Does that mean we can't go to war. What a wonderful world you live in.

I have a few friends that were for the war and the joined up right after high school or went to a military school. While there are some who are hypocrites, there are still some who stand up for what they believe in and fight.

You are a fool to generalize like that. Just because someone is pro-war does not mean they have to join the military. Not everyone is qualified for being in the military. So, from what you are saying is that you want to force millions of people into the military (aka Draft?)? Just because you will head straight for Canada does not mean everyone will.

Some of us are veterans and see that not doing it, given the information we were getting from the US services and foreign services, was wrong and see that pulling out without a stable situation now is even worse.
So, in my case at least, it isn't an unwillingness to risk myself because I've already been there and risked that...

At different times in our lives we take on different roles. In the time of Vietnam, I was in college----the Democrats did not want to win that war so why waste my time?
I support the war against Radical Islam whether in the Battle of Iraq, Iran, the Sudan, or in Europe. And W has the courage to continue despite the Dems. This is a conflict for the survival of our civilization and freedoms. Given my age (55) and education (J.D.) I would probably be most useful in the political front here at home or in devising methods of combating the enemies' (Islamics and Libs) ideas.
If my daughter wanted to go, I would worry, as would any parent. However, I would rather see her voluntarily wearing the U.S. uniform than being force to wear a berkka and veil by whacko Islamic tyrrants. I would not want to think of what our world would be like if Islam came to dominate it. Libs better think about that one. Islamics stone gays to death, forget abortion and free love. Libs whine about fundamentalist Christians, but Pat Robertson is totally liberal compared to these Mullahs!

I voted for President Bush. So I guess I voted pro war. I am in the Army. So here is at least one pro war voter in the Army.

Because it is easy. I served in the Army for 10 years. I think Iraq was a bad idea. We THOUGHT that they might have WMD, we KNOW Iran does, and we do nothing. What the??? I respect the opinions of those like McCain, but as for the rest of them, they can jump off. Sorry about the soap box.

You know there are requirements that need to be met to join the military, so not everyone could go to war. I think that is so dumb when someone talks about that. I care about my country and i do support this war and I wouldnt mind joining the military.

It would be totally hypocritical, if it were true. Heck, I would enlist, I'm just underage.
