just wondering... i have heard from a few people that you lose weight with this BCP... i might be taking it to lighten and shorten my period... and was wondering if this bonus is true...

It's not known to "lose" weight as so much that compare to other birth control pills out there, it will cause the least amount of weight gain. Most weight gain from BC pills is water retention. One of the active ingredients of Yasmin is drospirenone which is a diuretic and will cause you to pee a lot. This helps as this will cause less water retention and therefore less weight gain. Also, most pills do lighten/shorten periods and reduce cramping during that time.

It is true that everyone is different but I actually did lose weight in the short time that I was on Yasmin. I lost nearly 10 lbs in the 6 months I was on it.
It is hard to say if you will lose weight on it or not because your body is different from mine.

I have never heard of that, nor have I experienced any weight gain or loss while on Yasmin. It could depend on the person, though.

yes, Yasmin does help you to lose weight. it is one of the most popular bc pills on the market. for some reason this one does not make you gain like many of the other ones.
try them, i know you will be happy with the results plus you don't have as many side effects with Yasmin as you do with many of the others.

I thought that hrough BCP's you gain weight. I did ! and they are hard punds to shed off !
