From the list I got from Wikipedia I find it inconvenient to answer or respond to this from a non-sociopath's stance and thus as it may be I too as one (sociopath) wonder if I don't also find love to be nothing more than my own selfish seeking of pleasure in any one or all of its phases sometimes oblivious to whether others may feel the same way or, having a more altruistic and mature relation about the subject, feel some or lots or perhaps nothing of me as a presence among them. But, being a sociopathic type I know I can use what others consider "love", to obtain my own selfish complexities. And if backed up to a wall where the only way out is complete inconsideration of the effect on you or others subject to my over-control I guess you have hit it on the head when you ask if sociopaths process love sometimes in a way that is self seeking and self purposing or, as some would say, "survival mode" where all consideration for the feelings of others is not motivating the conduct of the sociopath..

Hmm... I think sociopaths probably feel love, but they do not process feelings the same as others. They disregard other peoples feelings.

Sociopaths do not feel love; it is all about themselves and no one else has any sort of priority with them.
