When your at a fast food restaurant. They give you the "cup" to fill yourself.. Do you use less ice just to get more drink in your cup? Do you approach the soda fountain with confidence thinking to yourself. WHOOOOOO HOOOOO, you are in control this time of how much beverage goes into your cup compared to the ice? You are laughing at their answers but maybe not as hard as I laughed at your question. I don't even like my drinks ice cold. So, a small amount of ice and bring on that cola!

I put as much ice as i need to keep the drink cold. They always put more ice in the cup so that customers get less soda. Even though the soda costs the restaurant only 10 cents a cup.

I rarely put any ice in my drink at all. Drinks are usually cold enough for me straight from the fountain. Or if I do, then it's very little. Yes, I have the power in that situation!

lol, actually, yes I do think that. sad huh? But I hate when they give you all ice. I've worked in restaurants and I know that the stupid cups cost more then the soda that goes in them. How much do they think they save by filling it with ice? about 1/1000 of a cent? geesh, I'll give them a whole penny more if they give me the darn soda! lol

I actually do something even worse. I ALWAYS order water but put iced tea in my cup. OH YEAH, it's my way of feeling I got a good deal. Perhaps a mental illness. =) Would they REALLY ever say something to you??? In 10 years, no employee has ever said anything to me!!! Oh and when we go to a sit down restaurant, my husband orders an iced tea and I order a water and we share his iced tea with unlimited refills. Think of the money we save a year doing that. Plus we haven't drank soda in 10 years!

I approach a lil skeeved that so many other people use the damn thing. I ama bit of a germaphobe so... but when I am desperate, I will use less ice to capitalize my quench. I have abt 25% ice and 75% coke

Usually when it's self serve like that, it's free refills too otherwise they wouldn't have it out there. So I put in whatever amount of ice I want because I know I can get a refill.

No, I love ice so I get plenty. But since I get to get my own drink I always figure that refills must be free, so I always refill my cup before I leave.

oh yes! of course!! now i can make sure to have more drink than ice!! they always try ripping you off with a cup full of ice! i can now take control and only put 2-4 cubes of ice in my cup!! oh yea!!
