Why do conservatives think today's temperatures are 0.7 degrees celsius warmer than before industrialization?

Edit: Yes, it's going to get warmer over the next 100 years and billions will die...of old age. Within the next 2-6 thousand years, we'll begin the descent into the next Ice Age. THAT'S when the real fun begins. And like every other animal on the planet: We can adapt or we can perish, because we're not going to affect it one bit.

You need to go back 30 to 35 years and the hysteria of the scientific community claiming we were heading into an ice age! If you notice the Global Warming advocates, use only the northern hemisphere as their gauge for a tempeture rise. The southern hemisphere has absolutely no change in tempeture. The 28 years of satellite data of tempetures in the upper atmosphere also has no rise in tempeture. The glitch you and others fail to add in your equation, is sun spot activity and ocean tempetures. Oceanographers have told the ipcc that oceans have a regurgitating phenom that runs in hundreds of year cycles. Meaning our oceans have depths of 10 miles and deeper in many places, and it takes 100's of years for the cold water in the deep depths to surface to the top. Oceanograhers have been saying the low depth of the oceans are in their warm cycle. the Global warming oppontents add this to the equation, even though it is a natural occurrance. The thing that gets me is the USA is 4% of the land mass on the planet, if Asia, Russia, India, Mexico,S.America, Central America, Africa, and the Middle East are not on board to curb polution as we have been doing for 30+ years through the EPA, then how is global warming going to stop? Its ridiulous to think man can control anything! One factor left out also is we have replenished our forrest and now have more tree's and vegatation then we've ever had; but the catch is, Vegatation breaths in Oxygen and expells Co2! In fact the dead leafs, expell 10 times the Co2 then a leaf on the tree! this is all about getting the USA tax payers to pay for propaganda. Are you one going to be tricked into buying the carbon credits? Carbon credits do nothing about cleaning the air. It is money being paid by the rich as a penalty for their polluting. They pollute all they want, but still ride the limo's. fly the private jets, and live in the big fancy mansions.

they don't want change. They deny science in favor of religion----and they think anyone who brings that stuff up is trying to tear them down. They will deny any facts and hold onto their dogma forever...you can't change them. the only thing you can do is marginalize their thinking...If you don't want your child to be indoctrinated into their religion at school, you are evil, if you defend free speech you are traitorous...you can't win against ignorance or a thinking that is based on fantasies. They need their fantasies. They can google things just like you and me, but they refuse to believe anything that upsets their apple cart...as for me, I don't keep all my apples in one bag, I flow with the current theories and keep none as my mantra. I am starting to think it is a Southern thing...the Bible belt, old slave holders...i don't know, but most are from the south...They don't respect the Constitution like I would expect a patriotic person to do.

EDIT: On the serious tip, though, I don't know how any cognizant being could possibly deny the effect of the huge populations that now cover the Earth and the industrialization of those populations on this little globe in the middle of nowhere!
