ok, I walked in on my father trying on my mothers clothes, and asked him what the hell he was doing? He said it was for a holiday party. 2 weeks later I found him standing in front of the bathroom mirror, with MY bra and t back panties on, and I ran as fast as I could. Is my father gay?

Crossdessing is a fetish and not an indicator of sexual preference. Many, some say most, crossdressers are heterosexual. Crossdressing is different from drag in that most crossdressers have no thoughts about going out in public or performing, or even trying to pass as a woman. And lastly, crossdressing is also not an indicator of transsexualism or gender disphoria. Just because your dad wears your moms clothes doesn't mean he wants to be a woman.

I would suggest talking to your dad in private. Perhaps gift him with your bra and panties (which you'll probably never wear again anyway). Let him know that whatever is going on with him that you'll continue to love him, just that he needs to respect your privacy and not invade your wardrobe.

Many men who enjoy cross-dressing are not gay. Some people automatically connect cross-dressing behavior to transgender identity or sexual, fetishist, and homosexual behavior, but cross-dressing itself does not imply any motives.

Male cross-dressers often begin wearing female clothing as children, using the clothes of a sister, mother, or female friend. If they cross-dress secretly and are discovered, especially by a parent, they will be confronted and told to stop, unless the parent lets them do it. Some mothers have said they allowed their male children to cross-dress and, in many cases, the child stopped when they became older. It appears that when boys are forbidden to cross-dress, they will try to stop, only to resume doing it later. The same pattern often continues into adulthood, where there may be confrontations with girlfriends or wives. Married cross-dressers will experience considerable anxiety and guilt if their spouse objects to their behavior. Cross-dressers may become obsessive and/or compulsive in their behavior, if not actually addicted to wearing female clothing. Some have periodically disposed of all their female clothing, a practice called "purging," only to start another collection later.

It can be equally difficult to be certain of the motives of modern day people who cross-dress. The only real proof of motive is that person's own statement. Yet even this is not always certain, as there are examples of people attributing their cross-dressing behavior to one motive only to later realize that they may have had another reason.

A fair amount of straight men are transvestites, or like to wear womens' clothing, and that seems to be what your father is. Maybe your mom knows, maybe she doesn't. She'll definitely find out eventually if he's stretching out her clothes, so don't you take this job on yourself. Think of it as just one more embarrassing thing he wears.

Oh, and lock up your own clothes and tell him to stop trying yours on! Tell him you're okay with him liking womens' clothes, but not with him getting into your stuff, and that it really oogs you out that he got into something as personal as your underwear. Assure him you won't tell your mom, but he can (and probably should) get his own clothes.

He's probably not gay, he's simply into women's clothes. He could be a cross-dresser, or someone exploring that side of himself. Either way, he's still your father.

Not that I condone him using your clothes. Maybe, if you're able to, just tell him that you're not OK with him using your clothes. If he wants to wear women's underwear, tell him he needs to buy his own.

He is a cross dresser. It is possible to be a cross dresser without being gay. Talk to your mother about it and move out as soon as you can.

Early signs of him possibly being a Transvestites. I think that's far worst then being gay. That's mentally mind boggling and he needs a councilor.
