We are making a home movie/video.We have a script in place.The story has 4 guy characters & 1 girl character.
However,we are 4 girls & 1 guy.So we decided that we 4 play the male roles & he plays the female role.
The role is of a housewife.Shd he be wearing a saree with kajal, bindi, sindoor and mangalsutra or shd we dress him up more elaborately....I mean really doll him up.

you should doll him up!
but plz dont go overboard either!
and make sure he does all the girlie kinda things like getting brows threaded away in beautiful shape, getting his hands and legs shaved or waxed (that wud be better), getting a good cleansing and facial session and after that the regular make up!
but make sure he also learns the way a girl walks talks and all other things to slip into the character well!
we also organize plays and had to go through all this once so i m pretty much experienced!!!!!!!!!!

Really doll him up. Give him a makeover and make him wear a long blonde wig or something with little butterfly clips in it. Ohhh make him wear a miniskirt with a really skimpy tube top. Lol. Okay that might be going overboard but it would be really funny.

Doll him up!!! Make him shave his legs, or funnier, wax his legs. Put him in a cute little cocktail dress and some pearls, little white gloves, classy no? Or, go the other way, make him wear a tube top with a bra under it and some cute little hot pants and high heals! Tee-hee-hee! Have fun with it! But don't get to mean and make him to a "love" scene. I would suggest lingerie but that's just a little too evil. (Mhaa-haa-haa!!!)

It depends on the mood of your piece. If you are trying to be serious, maybe just mild dressup would be best. But if your film is already going to be over the top, then go all out.

It will depend on the roll, script and setting of the era in which this play is written for.
If it is generic, you can always ask him. What he is comfortable in.
