Why did the reciepe change for Popcorn Chicken?

KFC Changed from small pieces of popcorn chicken to the bite-sized versions in the past 5 years. Does anyone know why?

the pop corn chicken used to be breaded at the store now it comes prebreaded to go from freezer to fry to make it faster

because it was not chicken meat
