Florida isn't even considered a southern state by the other southern states. Most Floridians are proud of that.
Florida is multi-cultural, touristy ... and rarely do you hear the southern drawl from a Floridian. Not from a 'native'.

HOT nascar lovin rednecks!! Please only in Daytona the futher down you go the darker the tans are and the less hick the langange is! i love it and so do over a million tourists every year

No! My friends from my old home town live there and they hate Nascar and don't talk like hillbillys. I don't get a hick vibe from Florida, no way.

Yes.
A lot of small towns and villages, especailly in Central and Northern Florida are hick towns.
And the further inland you go, the more rural things get.
All the coastal cities are highly populated and very much like Southern California.

south Florida is definitely not a hick state, but if you go north upwards of boca and west palm beach you will see mullets and nascar bums as far as the eyes can see.

No. When you get South of Martin County and North of Monroe, you mostly have lots of New Yorkers, Ohioans, Northerners of every kind, lots of hispanics, Haitians, South Americans, illegals, etc.
Now when you go south of Dade County into Monroe, you have a lot of rich people and gay people. And some rich, gay people.
When you go with Martin County northward, leaving out Orlando, you get some hicks.

Shore ain't
We've got a very very diverse population;
elderly, latinos, families, southern, snow birds,
touristos, a very large sporting events crowd,
from Nascar, fishing, Bike Week, boating, football &
check all the theme parks.
I love it here !!!
