I love New York City, it is safe for the most part if you know the places to avoid and when/where not to walk alone

i love New York City. honestly i dont think its supper safe. neither is anywhere else for that matter. like Houston isnt safe- i love Houston and its my home town and everything but if you really look at them its really not that safe -- in some ways.

Not sure if I qualify to answer this or not but here goes----------Safe! I only went there on vacation once but I loved it so much I wanted to move there. PS. This is coming from a country girl who was raised in the country in SC and now resides in Atlanta, Ga so maybe this is typical? Does this count?

I love new york ctiy it is an awesome city and it has everything. Yet like all cities it has crime. Yes it is relatively safe.
