he gave the entertainment world what it needed at the time it was needed most. Great stage presence, wonderful voice
cool in a macho sort of way and a lot of his tunes are quite enjoyable. I am not a huge fan, but a legend is a legend.
another thing that stands out in his early days-Elvis didnt have a problem serving his country. and of course his songs will go on forever. I do think labeling him as the king of rock n roll is a bit misleading though. there were others before him. if you want to see him as he should be remembered check out his comeback special from 68 I believe it was

His middle name is misspelled on his tomb stone
He had a twin that died young and Elvis never knew him
Not sure about the blond hair all the young pictures I've seen of him in school his hear was dark
He dearly loved his Mother bought her a pink caddy that she never drove. Runs in my mind she couldn't drive
Left estate to his daughter with Priscilla controlling money until Lisa became of age. Priscilla's handling the money made his estate larger than when he was alive
He didn't have many friends, but lots of live in girl friends
He was so jealous of Priscilla that he drove her away, even though he was having affairs
He suffered the same illness as his Mother and died on the same day as her

He was one hell of an entertainer until he got involved in Drugs.. There was only one Elvis and he was the best......

he has one hell of a house in Graceland, a beautiful wife, Priscilla, an adult daugher, Lisa Marie, and many grandchildren!

He dyed his naturally blonde hair black. And he died at the same age that his mother was when she died. They were both 42.
