Nah . . . more like the overly dramatic made-for-TV movies network. I've rarely seen a movie on there that wasn't sooo melodramatic and overdone.

I agree with the other poster, I only watch Lifetime for the Golden Girls. Lifetime tends to be a sexist network, showing women as vulnerable fools and men as terrible beasts. Oxygen is a little better and We is somewhat worst.

Some of their shows are stereotypish...but I do like that new show "Blood Ties" about a Toronto PI who's slowly losing her eyesight and has a 300 year old vampire as a partner.
It's on sunday nights and 9 CST.

I watch Lifetime because THE GOLDEN GIRLS comes on that channel..only the best show ever!!!
But as far as the movies go, they are overly dramatic, cheesey, and they basically all have the same plot.

I don't like Lifetime anyway. They paint all men out to be jerks and, at the same time, paint all women out to be simpletons who are easily abused.

Which is the network that shows "Bridezillas"? Not the most flattering portrayal of women, I'd say.

I have never seen a movie on Lifetime that wasn't about an eating disorder or rape. I call it the anorexia and rape channel.

TV movies are largely about women being persecuted. It's true. It's designed that way, because that's who is watching at home.
