Will an Avacado pit eventually produce fruit?

Is there anything I can do to encourage fruit to grow?

just google "avacado tree" the first site tells you every thing and yes it takes 3-4 years to get fruit,, and they grow 30-40- feet tall!! unless you trim them good...the site tells you how to take care it too...

They sure can. I accidentally mixed 1 in my garden from a compost pile, and in 4-5 years it started producing delicious Haas avocados.

You need to wait at least five years for it to become a mature tree.
