Generally if you are a 14 or above you are considered plus size.......however if this depresses you perhaps the fact that plus size can range anywhere from 14 to 30 should help you to feel better.....

I've noticed that a lot of "regular" (not plus size) stores go up to size 14 and most plus size stores start at size 14. It's partially relative, too. Fashion models and designers work in the 0-4 range, so size 8 or 10 is a plus size.

The petite department is for 5'3" and under, According to Macy's. If you shop in petites they stop at a 14.
The average woman is now a size 14 which means that the average woman is plus-sized.
12 would be overweight but not plus-sized.

Really, it is a size 16 or over. But with today standard of beauty and fascination with being thin plus size is now consider to be a size 12 which is ridiculous.
