how long does some one have to be in a leg cast i heard some one had to be on crutches and in the cast for 3 months one my grandmothers friends grandkids.

I have a friend that has been in a leg cast for the last 18 months. The bone is not growing back, he has had three bone grafts now. If this one does not take they will have to amputate.

when my mom was a teen she was thrown from a horse and had multiple fractures and was in a cast from her toes to her neck and down one arm for 2 1/2 years. She had broke her back in 3 places broke her arm at the sholder and her left leg 2 places one which the bone broke through the skin.
