maybe if there's enough people killed, everything will be fine? what the hell kind of a strategy is that?
what really is THE PLAN - you guys who wanted all this????
(Support our troops- stop gettin' em wounded and killed! - because these HEROS will do whatever they are commanded to, don't abuse that power!)
...maybe the big oils should just keep it as a mercinary (hired guns) struggle, save the US Military for defending OUR country!

This action in Iraq has nothing to do with 9/11! Iraq had nothing to do with any American deaths until we marched into their country to save them, unasked, from Saddam!
As far as I know, everyone was asking what are we doing in Iraq? Not one Iraqi was in the bunch that flew the planes that killed innocent Americans! That bunch is safe in Pakistan & Pakistan has closed their border to Americans!

Eh... a better strategy would've been to nuke major areas and THEN invade. I do believe we still need to make some kind of payback, but I mean... in WW2 we bombed 2 of Japan's cities and evaporated the cities' populace. So why can't we do that now to the foes in the present? Would've saved more of our troops.

I know some of you out there might hate me for saying the above statement. I view most history involving nation-states as dog-eat-dog, with some countries allying for their respective benefits from time to time. Eventually, be it centuries or a thousand or so years, those same allied countries will try and face each other. Citizens get caught in the crossfires and/or get involved in movements that interest them in times of war, but that's reality and it is expected when war happens. Though the individual does exist, so does the concept of the group, and both ideas of the individual and the group will perpetually clash, even in addressing the issue that innocent people, soldiers, citizens, and enemies can be killed at any time by actions. So go ahead and spout pro-war and anti-war slogans, to be for and against war is a duality in our nature, social and physical. Regardless, the world keeps turning, with or without man's confusing presence on it. I do like to watch and read up on wars, though, but that's besides the point.

It is not worth it to 99% of American citizens... It is worth it to the 1% of citizens to happen to own the right stocks. Like the attack on Pearl Harbor before WWII, 9/11 gave the US Government popular support for invasions.

Many rational people believe that 9/11 was an internal job deliberately planned so that we could invade and occupy the Middle East. Unfortunately, unambiguous facts point in that direction.

If you have an open mind, I'd query "PEAK OIL" and "911 TRUTH MOVEMENT" to learn why so many people are beginning to believe that the government's version of the truth is unbelievable.

The occupation of the Middle East is not worth it to the vast majority of American citizens.

do you honestly think that if we were not there now that these fanatical nuts wouldn't be killing innocent civilians (most likely a lot more than what we have lost )!! this is the reason we have a military, to protect our people from foreign attacks, notice we have not been hit yet since 911. what i really would like to see is more help from all these other countries that we always help, instead of them voting against our requests all the time in the UN. yes i am saddened by the losses we have had, but we would probably have had thousands more if our brave men and women weren,t there for us.

The number of people killed is not a strategy.

62 million people died in WWII ending an ideology of hatred and denomination - was it worth it?
Why don't we take a lesson from history and not repeat the same mistake of letting this new ideology of hatred and domination fester and grow?

Illegal aliens kill more people than 9/11.

Illegal Aliens Kill 9,000 Americans Yearly
Each year illegal aliens kill three times more people than all of the people that died on 9/11. And three times times the number of soldiers that died in Iraq
"Iowa’s United States Congressman Steve King told a crowd in Des Moines in June, “Illegal aliens cause the death of 25 American citizens every day…13 by drunken driving and 12 by stabbings or gun fire" http://www.sierratimes.com/06/08/14/Frosty_.htm

no it isn't worth it. it would be if we stayed and finished the job. but, seeing how that's no longer going to happen, we are going to run away with our tails tucked between our legs just as bin laden said we would. every life was wasted. more lives will be wasted at the next 9/11 which is now inevitable.

Depends on the perspective. For pigs like the Bush & the Dick, if they make money out of this all, of course it's worth it. You don't think they really care abot America or Americans, do you? They'd easily sacrifice all 300 000 000 Americans for a few bucks, no hesitation.

Why are you in such an uproar when it would seem things are comming togeather for the defeat of our country?! I mean if you are attacking those of us who support the war who cares what you think? If you think your rant will change anything-wrong! And I think just about everybody knows by now it isn't about oil!
