I'm building a coin pusher machine, and I cant seem to find an electric shaft to move the board back and forth. It doesnt need to be very strong. I dont even know what this piece is called really. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

It sounds like you're looking for a small electronic actuator. A linear actuator (One that only needs to move in one dimension, back and forth) seems to be what you'd need in this case. Unfortunately, I have never needed to use one for any projects, so I can't give you a ballpark figure on how much it might cost, but the most useful resource I can give you is here:

I'm sure that's more of a starting point than anything, but it should give you an idea of what a linear actuator looks like, and if you're lucky, you might be able to find one at a local hobby or electronics retail outlet.

Good luck, sounds like a fun project! =D

Try a store that specializes in woodworkers supplies.
