they completely revolutionized the sport of basketball in the united states....but theyre still records are frowned on and theyre style is shunned. they played with attitude and flair, much like the game is played today but they have a negative ambience around them. how can a group of players who changed the way a sport is played be robbed of adequate recognition?

yes they never won it all...but theyre style transcends that fleeting accomplishment. i dont know about you but id rather be known for revolutionizing a sport for years to come than winning a championship one year.

They get style points, and being freshmen that will probably never happen again.

But, they never won it all, if they won at least once, they would get major props.

One thing about college, nobody cares who finished 2nd, you get to the Final Four, you got to win it all.

They completely what? You are obviously very young.
The Five got huge media and applause in their day at Michigan.
Let's be real : NO Hall Of Famers in this group.
Chris Webber comes closest as a Sacramento King.
Rose? Nice big guard, borderline NBA starter. Howard, decent-good power forward, not all-star caliber.
The other two guys got screwed for staying with the other three. Not everyone can star in basketball. Those guys would have been better off going elsewhere where they could shine and get their chance.
If anything, you give them way too much credit.

How many championships did the fav 5 win? Oh thats right, none. First off, that wouldnt be that big of a deal had they not been so arrogant, but they acted as if they were the absolutely sh*t in the sport and everyone was inferior, and then they never won it all therefore making them UNDERachievers. They dont deserve any respect, none of them have went on to be absolute stars in the NBA (closest was Webber) and although they were good in the NBA (Howard and Rose) they werent nothing that special. Had they not been so arrogant then they would be considered as one of the greatest teams ever despite not winning it all, but their arrogance and "flair" hurts their image b/c they never won it all.

because of cwebb accepting hundreds of thousands of dollars from a booster. that stuff is not allowed in the ncaa, so they punished them accordingly. but yes it sucks that they act like the fab 5 never existed.
