Well I had mine pierced and it didn't hurt me. I was sooo scared that I didn't even realize they had already pierced it. Just keep it clean with Hydrogen Peroxide on a daily basis and you should be alright.

I had the top of mine pierced years ago with a gun. It didn't feel good, but it isn't really bad. I think the worst for me was the sound, and then trying to sleep on it the first week or so. It will only get infected if you dont take care of it. I also used to pierce ears for a living at a place called piercing pagoda. I recommend using a real gold stud rather than the surgical steel. It is less painful. The gold stud more displaces the skin, where as the surgical steel stud is thicker and more rips through.

With the gun moving so quickly, it is a gentle prick not big pain.

Once the stud is in the ear, regardless where you place it, you have to turn the study four times a day with very clean hands. After you put a cotton ball with alcohol gently on both sides to help reduce the chance of infection.

You DO NOT remove the stud for at least thirty days or until the stud does not stick when you turn or and there is no signs of scabbing or ooze.

BTW make sure you use a quality sturgical steel study from the piecing until it heals. This reduces a chance of metal reaction like gold or silver can cause.

I got mine done a year ago...and im almost positive they dont do it with a gun..they do it with a long needle..by hand...just like when they do a facial piercing ..but it didnt hurt when i got it done but be careful because mine still hurts a year later..and its not infected. it just takes a long time for some ppls to heal..and sometimes it really hurts when i sleep..i have friends who have gone through the same thing

Well, they put this thing in the place before they Perice it so it doesn't really hurt. It's like a quick unpainful shot that goes away in a minute. And, it gets infected if you get stuff like dirt before you put a earring on. Hopes that helps!

It doesn't hurt to get it done with a gun, but it is safer to get it done with a needle because there is less risk of an infection. But I got mine done with a gun and I haven't had any problems.

If the gun is a .38 magnum I suppose it would hurt just a tad, especially if it fired a hollow-tipped bullet.

Matter of fact, might just rip off the entire ear.

you'll have a higher chance of getting your ears infected it you get a piercing on the top part, because blood circulates there. but if you want a piercing, just go get one. it's not gonna hurt that bad

I let my friend pierce mine with a post while in class in 9th grade. It hardly hurt, so I doubt it would hurt with a gun :)
