I have been studying about The USA in school, and I learnt how unpopular Geoge Bush is.

We liberated Iraq from Saddam. So I think it is unfair that Americans have to live under a dictator.

I do agree yes, the poor American haveing to live under that man, but on a whole ole Georgie Boys done a good job around the world, he's killed 1000's in Iraq and Afghanistan and not used nuclear weapons yet, so fair play to him in that respect, but he is a dictator yes and a very very dangerous chap with it, still he's a bit more stable than his brother Zeb, but both cheats, the old man was ok though i thought.

Well ,let me put it to you this way. Sure we could do that but
then we would be left with the same Anarchy, Lawlessness and Terror that is currently bathing the streets of Iraq and
Afganistan red with blood. As much as I hate the State of
the United States now .I most definitely don't want "Mad
Max Beyond Thunderdome" or the "Planet of the Apes"
Style stuff over here

To Campfire....what did Bush do that was illegal?

Where do I start?

For one, he wiretapped Americans in violation of the FISA court. He broke Geneva conventions by torturing prisoners, then lying about having secret prisons, then finally admitting, yes, we do have secret prisons, but we weren't supposed to know about that.

His administration outed a CIA agent. An act that ruins over 25 years of covert connections and puts at risks everyone who ever came into contact with Plame...all for political revenge.

Illegal searches...locking up suspects with no habeus corpus or access to an attorney..for years!

I'm former military myself, and this is the worst administration in the history of the presidency...by far!

He should be sentenced for treason against the constitution. Remember, the Dems have only been in control for 10-11 weeks...the investigations continue.

At least now, instead of overlook, we finally have oversight.

The thing about democracy is that the power is ultimately with the people and if they feel the president is messing up then they can vote him out at the next election. There are clearly places with supposed democracy but where the ruling party carries so much power that they can control elections, the media, etc (Zimbabwe, for one) so they have a virtual dictatorship but I don't believe the same is true of the USA. So if Bush really is as unpopular as you say then he and his party will lose the next electon. This old adage does work in a democracy - 'you can fool some people all of the time, you can fool all people some of the time but you can't fool all people all of the time'.

You must be one of those radical Brits. I'm surprised that you actually have the mental capacity to LEARN anything. That George Bush is the commander-in-chief of the army that HELPED that "we" to liberate Iraq from Saddam.

And no matter what ~he~ may think, George Bush is not a dictator.

Hell No!!! I hate George Bush's guts... But if ANYONE invades my nation.... i will shoot, and i will shoot to kill. THe difference between the USA and Iraq is that the longest we have to deal with a president is 8 years.... we have that luxury, Iraq didn't.

so if you want to invade my country... roll the dice big boy, because there are millions just like me who wouldn't hesitate to kill you.

We have the right to bear arms, and we will use that right very very liberally!!

God Bless America!!!

You see, when you say someone is a dictator, you have to ask why he doesnt KILL YOU when you call him that. Just sit there for a while, and wonder when he will send the assassins to put an end to your unbearable criticism.
What? Not dead yet. Is it possible there IS no dictator. Just a nasty little critic, who relieves himself in public. But cant THINK.

No, but I think we should pull the US police and military out of Washington, DC.

They have a greater chance of getting killed there than in Iraq. You -as a citizen - have a a higher chance of being victimized in the US Capitol than in Baghdad.
