I think we take them for granite, we figure we love them and they love us so love is like a magic shield that allows us to be frank, rude and hurtfull?
This is a guess because I've tried to figure it out, I really try not to hurt those I love and be sensitive to their feeling's, because I hate when I get hurt.

First I don't think people as a rule hurt their loved ones on purpose. But if they do I believe it's done knowing that a loved one will forgive them more easily then a friend or stranger.

They're the only ones who can BE hurt. Can't be hurt by what a total stranger says to us.

It is human nature and our family is closest to us, so they will probably forgive us more quickly. Good luck!
