As, according to the Dem's, this is something Bush has ignored, is it fair to expect the Democratic Presidential Candidates to provide the American Voter with their plan for catching him and a timetable in which it will be completed?

I am not seeing a lot of direct answers. Some seem to be hedging a bit. I thought the Dem's position was that bin Laden IS the war on terror and that Bush has dropped the ball.

So what is the Dem's plan? They make it sound so easy in their sound bites. How are they going to catch him and how long will it take?

Interesting, still nothing but "attack" answers from the Left?

the reason he hasn't been caught, and the reason he got away, is that he fled into the cave riddled mountains at the Afghanistan-Pakistan border. There is a reason the Russians got bogged down in a decade long quagmire and we took Afghanistan in short order. The russians tried to flush them out of those mountains. You can't do it. Helicopters are sitting ducks up there, and they can pick you off if you try and climb up on foot before you are even close to them. They know damn well where he is, it would have cost too many lives to have gone up and get him, so we didn't.

bin laden wasn't financed by the saudi's. he can't set foot in his home country, they would arrest him immediatly. He's been causing the Saudi's grief long before we ever heard of him.

Probably not long, since Bin Laden would probably feel a little more at ease with a Dem in office, he even knows that they are no threat to terrorist.. The problem would be, they would find him (or have him handed over 3 different times) and then they would refuse to take him just like Slick Willy did.

My first thought was that if we haven't found him by then, then who knows, he could be in a cave, on a mountain, in another country, anywhere.

Then I reconsidered... Bin Laden and his minions consider a victory by the dems a victory for him. Perhaps he'll feel comfortable to let is guard down. Either way, the dems don't have the balls to take care of it.

As it seems with the liberals / Democrats...there is plenty of blame and accusations flying around about all things related to Bush...but no intelligent solutions being presented.

They all seem to forget that Congress approved of the action in Iraq. So much for accountability on their side, eh?

Whaddaya mean? They had him in their hands and let him go. My money is on never. Don't forget, Dems are kinda wonky with plans. Timetables they have no problem with.

Only when bin Laden registers as a Republican will the Democrats care about catching him.

I can't picture either Edwards, Hillary or Obama in Afganistan, finding Osama's cave. I can however picture them repairing diplomatic relations between countries, and then using all intelligence agencies to track him and his henchmen down. I also expect that they will be likely to follow the money...he was financed by someone...Saudi...if those records haven't been shredded by Osama's friends.

If a democrat is elected.............

The odds of catching Bin Laden after we surrender and pull out all of our troops is going to be damned slim, at best.

dems don't make plans! It's whatever blows in this day's breeze that determines their folly.
