Most in the media say "I'm just giving people what they want." We as consumers are partly responsible. We also have to remember that most media outlets are businesses and they must make money first, and report the news second. Look at 'Outfoxed' and also look at Noam Chomsky's work 'The Myth of the Liberal Media'. Sensational journalism is what gets ratings, it's an unfortunate circumstance.

i do think the paparazzi are too competitive. i also think we should stop ogling "stars" and get on with our own lives.
