I will answer a question with a question for you (sorry) do you think heterosexuals should and why? Gay people know what they are. We, heterosexuals, have to learn to live with the decisions other people make (we are not blind and must learn to turn our faces away from them if we don't like it) after all we cannot live other people's lifes. No promoting needed.

Straight Pride ! they dont have any pride in being straight. and whats there to be proud of anyways. they are treated as they are without any prejudice or hatred or bias. Anyone can love anyone from the other species and get along, but it takes a MAN to love a MAN and a WOMAN to love a WOMAN. its not easy nor is it unnatural. Pride comes from within when you see nuthing wrong with urself and yetend up being treated bad by others just because you are different,and when you stand up for urself amidst all this. so PRIDE IS OURS as we are proud of what we are. the rest are just normal nuthing gr8 about them to be proud of.

because striaght people have always been excepted...why would someone promote straight pride? There a lot more important things to promote.

well I am a heterosexual and I get what you are saying. However, there is always a chance of being bashed because we are straight. Still, I am proud of being straight and I am proud of whoever is strong enough to admit they are gay. I feel everyone should be proud of themselves if they have a reason to be.

because people arent prejudice towards straight..so we have no reason to promote our pride
but rude, uneducated, selfish people feel the need to worry about who someone is attracted to and discriminate against homosexuals so they want everyone to know their proud of their attraction of the same sex
i have no problem with homosexuals and neither should anyone else in this world

The "norm" does not need to promote itself.
The fringe groups promote themselves to gain acceptance from the norm, and to find other like-minded sub-groups.

They do, in an indirect way.
(They hold weddings, parties, kiss in public...)
But we GLBT people need to do them in a "direct" way, because we're a minority, and unfortunately we suffer from homophobia, and discrimination. I hope a day comes when we needn't do any parades.

On the contrary they do every time they call one of us a fag homo dike or any other foul name there is. Heteros do it in demeaning ways at least some do
