I don't think so, he is just being smart with 122 oversight investigations going in with the new Congress right now.

Hahaha! Yeah, that's the way it works, right? George Bush is the ultimate arbiter of what it means to be conservative? NAH!

As a long-time conservative, I don't even know what the word conservative means anymore. Nothing about George Bush fits the old definition of conservative, but somehow he gets away with more and more garbage.

In a world where so-called conservatives preside over the nationalization of education (No Child Left Behind), promote nation-building (Iraq), and begin the largest government spending program in history (prescription drugs), no one knows what the word "conservative" means anyway, so the discussion is meaningless.

In my opinion, if Dowd is criticizing Bush, he's either a conservative himself or just a wannabe Democrat. I don't know Dowd, but I'm sure there are lots of good reasons to criticize Georgy. I've had enough myself. In my opinion, George Bush has destroyed the Republican Party.

No. Just because he severely criticized Bush doesn't mean that he's a liberal. It just means that despite working for Bush as a strategist, he's still capable of telling the truth. Telling the truth does NOT make you a liberal, it means you're honest. There are some conservatives in Congress who've criticized Bush to some degree, does that make them liberal? NO, it means they're able to think for themselves.

Kim, you're an idiot.

He was disappointed with Clinton too.

A top strategist for the Texas Democrats who was disappointed by the Bill Clinton years, Mr. Dowd was impressed by the pledge of Mr. Bush, then governor of Texas, to bring a spirit of cooperation to Washington. He switched parties, joined Mr. Bush’s political brain trust and dedicated the next six years to getting him to the Oval Office and keeping him there. In 2004, he was appointed the president’s chief campaign strategist.

Criticizing a conservative doesn't make you a liberal by itself.

President Bush unfortunately is very liberal in many, many respects. He seems to be willing to spend even more on social programs than even 'ol Billy Bob Clinton could. He has done more to advance socialism in schools, health care, and privacy invasion than any other president before him. He seems completely incapable of securing our nation from the continuous invasion of illegals from our southern border. Maybe the only things he's kept a conservative stance on has been the Iraq war (thank God) and stem-cell research (again, thank God).

He's just finally waking up to the truth, like all of the other fools that somehow still think he's a great leader! Or like some of the other neo-cons, it's also possible that he's just trying to cover for himself for all of the criminal activities that they've conducted over that past 7 years.

I haven't read all of the details, but I'm going to bet that he was always a Democrat/liberal. So what? Those people who make their living in DC will sell their souls, I'm pretty sure.

He switched parties to work for Bush. What are you talking about? The show said that he disagrees with Bush and that he has a one track mind. Please educate yourself on what liberal means, you just make conservatives look stupid. Please stop!
