Okay , that's it ! Where do people get all these misconceptions about Canadians ?
I am Canadian and very proud of being Canadian. (From Quebec)
I've been looking at some of the answers here, and wow,
it leaves almost speechless !
1. We are your ally.
2. When 9/11 happened, we were there to help. We had
your airplances land in our airports immediately, no ifs, ands or buts, no questions asked. We helped our neighbor !
3. We do not hate Americans ! (I love my american friends as much as any of my canadian friends.
4. I have never said 'aboot' instead of 'about' ever, nor have I ever said 'heewwwss' instead of house. Where does this
come from ?
Give a break people, Love thy neighbor !

PS. The only think that I can say about Canada that I do
not agree with is, that our government a little too liberal !

I have no problems with Canadians in fact the Canadians Ive met abroad tend to be more polite and even Courteous than some Americans

well, I don't have anything against them, I am canadian and I live in canada.
to pinky: I do not pronounce my words that way. most canadians don't, I think maybe a few do but I've never really heard that. maybe in quebec only. and I don't say eh; and no one I know says it either.

People always make fun of them but they have nothing against them. Some Americans feel superior to Canada and so they enjoy making fun of them.

beautiful country !! This American thinks the Canadians rock. We couldn't ask for a better neighbor !!! When 9/11 hapened, it broke our hearts but Canada was right there to say, " We feel your pain and we are here for you."

They play hockey way better than us??
I don't know. But there's a Southpark episode you could watch...
EDIT: Hey, Hurricane...I was just stating the stereotypical things in jest. I live like 90 miles from the border near Montreal. Even I have a somewhat Canadian accent at times. Its okay. Really!
