Im soo freaking tired of these gay *** mj fans trying to bring down kobe and other allstar players , all they can do is bring up stats, only reason why they keep harrassing them is because kobe is best in the nba right now and other allstars like lebron and wade are doing well too, whenever they see someone doing something spectacular like kobe scoring back to back 50+ games they always gotta say some gay *** shi$ like "kobe sucks" or "hes a ballhog rapist " or " lebron is never gonna be better than jordan" oh and jordan isnt a ballhog? he lead the league in shot attemps and they have the nerve to call kobe a ballhog ? get out of here. Jordan also cheated too ask his wife .

Like you say, "Kobe is the best in the NBA right now". I'd say the NBA talent is watered down and has been for quite a while. When I first started watching the NBA, there were only 21 teams -- now there are 30. That meant not as many players, so the players that were there were better. Take today's entire NBA roster, drop off the worst 100 players, then divide the rest on more balanced teams. As a result, the WORST player would be what is now a 7th man or so.

As far as "he's a ballhog rapist", well... he is. He settled on the rape trial which means his lawyer believed he'd lose and be found guilty and in Colorado that means jail time - no negotiation. (Justifying his bad behavior off the court by comparing it to other bad behavior off the court doesn't help Kobe) The ballhog -- well, he isn't averaging very many assists considering he handles the ball most of the time for the Lakers. And when Jordan led the league in shot attempts he was shooting at a 49% clip. Kobe has yet to average over 45%. Jordan also averaged nearly 8 assists per game as well. Kobe has yet to average over 5 (his best was 2003, the last year with Shaq).

I dont bring down other NBA players. Guys like Kobe, Vince, T-Mac & D-Wade, Duncan and Shaq wouldn't be where they are now without all the NBA greats that preceded them.

Jordan did more than all of his stats decribe. He transcended the game, his play took the game an international level. And just like Jordan he would be nothing if not for the NBA and ABA greats that preceded him like Magic, Larry, Kareem, Erving, Hawkins, West, Baylor, Chamberlain and Oscar Robertson who was the greatest of all time in my opinion prior to Jordan claiming that title.

I know you love Kobe. But more should go into measuring his greatness. I was the same about Jordan until he made a believer out of people. If Kobe is to be as great he must do the same.

We would not be having this conversation if this weren't true. And about cheating on his wife...Jordan wasn't accused of rape. All NBA players have had embarrassing situations, but only the great ones rise above them. They aren't perfect.

Trust me in 10-15 years from now we'll be talking about some new young upstart player who'll be compared to Kobe...but that's only if he eclipses Jordan success and stature as a basketball player.

If Kobe wins 4 more titles...I'll give him his props as the best of all time. Until then he's just another wanna be just like Mike. Like Stackhouse was, Harold Miner was, Lebron and Vince. But he just like Jordan must involve and TRUST HIS TEAMMATES. Kobe is not doing that still. He must dominate on BOTH ends of the court. Kobe is not doing that.

We don't bring him down. Kobe wouldn't be Kobe if their was no Micheal Jordan. Even you can agree with that.

Two issues:
1) Jordan a few years before he reached that level of universal respect. They were saying he wasn't as good as Bird/Magic, not tough enough to beat the Detroit Bad Boys. They said he was too selfish, too focused on his shoe contract.

2) Jordan is one of the greatest player in the history of the game, all the young guys are going to fail in comparison. When they compare Kobe/Lebron/Wade/Iggy to Jordan, just gently remind them he's retired and if you want to complain about how better the good old days were tell them to watch baseball.

Nobody in the NBA plays defense now. Kobe would be a great player in any era, but against guys who actually play defense, would not be scoring fitty a game too often.

yes i'm sick of it!! i'm tired of people saying that Jordan would score 50 points a game now too, "cuz of the new handcheck rules." please. he would not, and Kobe would be dominate playing without the rules too. Steve Kerr PLAYED WITH Jordan on the bulls, and he said that Kobe is a better shooter and ball handler. Some chick on ESPN said it best, "Micheal Jordan is more accomplished than Kobe, winning six rings to Kobe's three, but that doesn't mean he's better" I watch espn classic and i have NBA league pass and watch most Laker games, and I think that Kobe is a better shooter than Jordan, but jordan was better closer to the basket. i've seen horrible games by both, i've seen incredible stuff by both. I would not say one is better than the other. but yeah, i'm sick of all the people who hate on the new stars just because the miss Jordan. but hey, people used to hate on Jordan, sayin he's not as good as magic and bird. maybe things will change again...
