to soon or not, just depends on the kind of brake pads and what kind of driving you do. If you drove 32000 miles in city traffic you use your brakes a lot. if it was 32000 miles on the freeway you hardly use them. Mileage isn't a good determining factor. That is why they have such a high to low difference in the warrenty.

So here is the question
What kind of sound is it?

If it is a grinding sound you have worn then down to the metal and they are grinding away at the drum or caliper. In which case you have to get new brakes and have the drum or caliper turned. about $150 in all

If it is a screeching noise, that is the wear indicators that are put in the pads so you know that they need replacing.

Or they are just dirty.

In all cases take it to a tire place, (Big O, Discount or the tire place the you use) Discount will check my brakes for free. It will probably be free or a small charge.
They will tell you what is happening. But make sure they show you the brakes so you know you aren't getting screwed.

It's a little soon, and I think someone who has been driving it might be either driving it two footed or hitting the brakes hard for no reason. Either that or the balance might be off a bit.

But new brakes at 30k isn't unheard of.

And I have no idea why others chose to be rude.

Yo, Lil Your car's barely broken in. Your brake pads may need replacing. Have an independent service person look at your pads and rotors. You may have drums and shoes that need inspection.

You most likely have ceramic, semi metallic or full metallic pads. 35 - 40,000 miles is typical life of pads on new cars.

Ask your service person what he thinks about organic brake pads. They will allow your rotors to last forever. EBC is one manufacturer.

Keep your car if your having no other problems.

no i don't think this is to soon for breaks, i have a 06 truck and i have 22666 miles and i haven't changed the breaks yet and i drive my truck hard and fast, but breaks all depend on the alignment of your car and how hard you drive it someone who slams on there breaks all the time will change breaks sooner then someone who barely hits there breaks so no this isn't to soon
