Equilibrium.

Explanation:
a) A forward reaction is when you are moving from reactants towards products. The concentration of reactants will decrease as they are used to make products (whose concentration will increase).

b) a reverse reaction is the opposite of a forward reaction, with opposite consequences.

c) Chemical equilibrium is the state at which the forward and reverse reactions are occuring at the exact same rate, completely balancing each other out. This means that the concentration of reactants is constant, and the concentration of products is also constant.

d) rate is just how quickly the reaction in question is occuring.

Any condition which is stable over time is an equilibrium condition. In a chemical reaction, the reaction often continues until one of the reactants is used up. However, sometimes a reaction will stop because the concentration of reaction products prevents it. Often, the reverse reaction also occurs (as is typical in ionic compounds). Chemical equilibrium is reached when inhibiting forces balance the initial reaction, or when the reverse reaction occurs at the same rate as the forward reaction.

The equilibrium function is in direction of the weaker acid/base. to make a determination that's the weaker acid, you are going to be able to ought to seem up values for their respective Ka values. the extra suitable the Ka, the extra advantageous the acid. The reaction proceeds extra in direction of the weaker acid. to decide on that's the weaker base, you are going to be able to ought to seem up or look into the Kb values. The extra suitable the Kb, the extra suitable the backside. The reaction proceeds extra in direction of the weaker base.
