Over the years, I have heard that it is B Vitamins that help but it might depend on the bugs - I think B Vitamins stop mosquito bites as it makes your blood taste funny to them. It won't do a thing for spider bites.
Try a citronella candle instead.

Prevent bugs from biting by taking 500mg of vitamin B1 a day.
Take them 2 weeks before your holiday if that's what you need them for and you can stop when you come home.If you have an ongoing problem with bugs take them daily.

Actually, its really simple.
Stop being so clean.
Its a myth that mozzies and other bugs bite dirty people. They like it clean, and the cleaner the better. Quite often the sprays that are designed to stop it, encourage it.
Its really as easy as, bathe ever couple of days, instead of every day or ever morning and night.

you dont say what sort of bugs...are the bugs able to be exterminated without upsetting your quality of life or are u talking about the swarms of midges that gather occasionally due to warm wather...are u in uk ...i dont know if u call them midges in us.....i think u could just spray yrself with autisan or something....if u eat healthily yr ok ...unless of course u live in an area thats populated by malarial mosquitoes...in which case a course of tablets and a visit to yr gp might be in order..

You could eat an orange or any citrus fruit.Save the peels and use them as a rub on your skin when you go outside. The bugs do not like the citrus smell and it will deter them from you.
