Why would the Bears give up on their "Franchise" quarterback after only one full year as a starter in favor of Brian Griese? It's too early to totally give up on Grossman.

Why do so many people hate on Grossman? It was not his fault that the bears defense played such a lousy game against the colts and he never had the ball. He did have some bad games, against Arizona, New England, Green Bay, and Minnesota but it was his first year playing all 16 games as a starter. He was not terrible before last season and you are a complete idiot who did not watch any film on him if you say that.
Grossman had a lot of bad games last year but he also had some great games as well. Grossman is still young and I expect him to get better next season and take huge strides in becoming one of the better young quarterbacks in the league. When he snapped at the media by calling them ignorant I think it was merely due to the fact that everyone was criticizing him ALL THE TIME. Many others would react the same way if they were in his situation. So in conclusion, Grossman is still young and will get better and show how ignorant you are.

Yeah! You know that Steve Young character? He was a backup for 5 years! He didn't do anything then. They should have released him before he went to the Superbowl and threw 6 TD passes!
You have to give some players time. Grossman was actually the best quarterback in the league for the first 7 weeks of the season. This man will improve. He has an arm, and now he has experience. It would be stupid to let him go.

Believe it or not their are worse starting QB's in the NFL than Rex Grossman. And the good thing is now that Grossman has a year of experience under his belt, he can improve. Some of worst QB's in the league are old and will never improve.

You bring up common sense but there is no common sense is cutting the QB that lead you to the Superbowl. Ya, he isnt a flashy QB and he doesnt always do it in the prettiest fashion but he wins games. He isnt a bad QB, he is a pretty quality player with a few flaws but he can easily fix his mistakes, he has shown the ability to avoid his common mistakes. Imagine how great the Bears could be if he is more consistent. Cutting the guy that just lead you to the Superbowl could be one of the dembest mistakes the Bears could make.

In his first full year he led his team to the Superbowl. How many games did he actually cost them? They only lost 3. Give him another year. Allot of rookies have done worse.
