Well the most basic way to increase your vertical, is just by doing squats.
1. Do close legged squats. Make sure your quads are parellel to the ground in the down position.
2. Do wide legged squats. Make sure your quads are parellel to the ground in the down position.
3. Do leg press.
4. Do lunges while holding dumbells.
All these workouts will help you increase your vertical, just add the amount of weight that is hard. But don't over do it. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!

There is no better weights excercise than Squats with free weights to improve vertical jump. You can also stand with a weighted vest on, or medicine ball in hand (I prefer vest so arms are free to move) and jump vertical in the air as high as possible for 30 seconds do as many reps as you can.
