I personally think that would help polarize the GOP base and would that be good for Rudy?

I hope she gets the nomination and is elected. I hate her but I'm voting for her. Why? Because worse is better. This country is so screwed up that it is gonna take this dose of W mixed with a batch of HC to make people realize that Republicans, Democrats and the sh*t that they have made common practice have to go.

Rudy? He's already on the way out - the scandal bells are tolling!

So if Hillary wins the nomination, the bunch of stiffs that are left on the Republican side are all the worser of the available evils. They are either Bushies, in which case they will be seen as idiots by association, or will be Bush deniers - seen then as either traitors or faux Republicans.

If Clinton wins the democratic nomination, the GOP wins. Simple as that. No candidate can generate as much anamosity as her. The hate brigades will be out and if the GOP run Mickey Mouse and Jack the Ripper (by cloning the last two candidates), they win.

With all of the controversy of this administration... and with their continued unwillingness to answer even basic questions, I don't think it will matter much. Anyone running on a non-republican ticket will win.

Would it be good for Rudy? Only inasmuch as Rudy would be able to make excuses on losing based on poor timing. He'll go on with business as usual because he is so widely accepted by larger businesses in NY.

Two years ago, I used to think so. But George Bush and friends have alienated enough of the U.S. by now that I'm fairly certain that no one will win the presidency with an "R" next to their name. Rudy will never win the support of the South, so he's dead in the water anyway.

Good question without a known answer. Could be -- maybe not. A lot of people I talk to at work and in the neighborhood are tired of both Cointon and Bush regimes. We are thirsting for new leadership not the same ole-same ole.

What do you mean 'good for Rudy'?
The electorate will have to choose between two Democrats.
Why would they pick the 'fake' one?
Rudy is a Republican in name only.

Both pary's nominations are going to be decided very early in 2008 and they will both be decided at the same time. Republicans might shoot themselves in the foot and nominate someone even less appealling that Hillary.
