So, yeah, I want to do a music video, and I need ideas for songs... most of the bands I listen to have male singers, so I'm looking for something a little different... something fast paced, not whiney, and preferably political... and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

that should be *any* suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

keep 'em coming... as long as it's not whichever-screechy-disney-princess-is-popular-right-now's latest hit, I'm good... not that there's anything wrong with liking that kind of music, but it's not what I'm looking for...
The answers so far are looking promising =) Thanks so much!

Try Paramore. They're Not Really Political But They're Awesome.

My sister in law listens to OTEP. I think they are more heavy metal, rather than punk, but I seem to recall them having a few political songs.

Sorry if that doesn't help. All I got. ;)

the yeah yeah yeahs's songs are fast paced and have female vocals but they are not exactly punk music but I promise you they are not whiney at all.
also siouxsie and the banshees have female vocals and some of their earlier music is punk.

Not really political, but anything by Patti Smith is good female punk.
