They made some good moves with the pitching staff and that Kevin Koffmanzadeh(probably spelled it wrong)is supposed to be very good.Losing Josh Bardield hurts but in general the Padres are still better then the Dodgers. They will win the west.

No offense but the Padres could steal second at best if they have great run support this year. Other than Peavy that rotation just doesn't intimidate any batters.

Hopefully the guys they have like Cameron will start earning his paycheck.
They have a decent team but it's just not good enough to beat out the Dodgers for the division.

Eh, they don't really HAVE to improve in order to make the playoffs seeing as they're in by-far the worst division in baseball... But... yeah, they'll be better than last year, not that that means much or anything...

i like the pads chances this year. chris young is improving, and peavy's ERA was a fluke. i'd expect it to be significantly lower this year. adrian gonzalez has been under the radar, and the pen is underrated. i like their chances on at least an improvement, with a chance to win that weak division.

Improved or not it doesn't really matter. The Dodgers will the AL West with no problems this year.

They have 2 guys over 40 in their rotation. You can't really think they will last an entire season.
