Since cricket is a game of uncertainties as has been proved on nmumber of occasions, nothing can be predicted for sure.
While Australia are the hot favourites to win the world cup, South Africa, New Zeland and Sri Lanka have also chance to win the same. Whichever team plays to their potential from now onwards consistently will be the ultimate winners..

New Zealand. The way they thrashed Australia recently, having had to chase down more than 340 on two occasions. They are also the form team at the moment. Teams that could throw a spanner in the works include Australia, South Africa and Sri Lanka.

Being an American, I can't say I'm an expert but I would think the Aussies's are still the best. India is out and Pakistan...okay forget them. The Aussie's have the best team but as we have seen with India losing, anything can happen.
I would love this sport to catch on in America but for 2007, it's Australia led by Ponting!!
