What kind of silly expression is that anyway. I mean come on if you were the proprietor of a delicious cake would you not eat said cake. Silly, silly expression :)

Yeah! what's the point of cake you can't eat, indeed,the paradox leaves us equality flummoxed. So instead of pondering why a person would possess pastries they choose not to enjoy, we sought out the phrase's less-literal meaning.

The saying is nonsense as quoted, as it it is only loci cal if you posses a cake, to either eat it, or not eat it. The actual saying goes: " keep your cake and eat it too

yea its silly but is a good example--i like to have my cake n eat ito but it jus dont work out that way

I totally agree. I like to have my cake, eat it and on special occasions throw it at unsuspecting people :)
