We had intercourse the day before yesterday. I knew I would be ovulating sometime this week, but was unsure of the day. Today, I felt the ovulation cramps. When I feel them, is it too late to concieve or could it still be possible to concieve that day?

Also, is it possible that I may already be prego? My period isn't due for about 2 more weeks...I'm just so anxious as many other trying couples are!!!

No, it's not too late, and yes, ovulation pain definitely occurs in some women and has been documented. For many it's an extra "cross checking" sign that they are in the fertile time.

Sperm can survive up to 6 days in your uterus so you have a bigger window for conception earlier in your cycle (right before and during ovulation). But after you release an egg, it has day or two before it deteriorates, so the chance of conceiving right after ovulation is a little smaller, but still definitely possible.

The cramps are do not always mean its too late. The best way to know for sure is to follow up on your cervical mucous or use a bbt. sperm does live in you for a few days so you never know when you're going to ovulate. Good Luck!

Hi:) I would say it's still possible since it's hard to tell whether they happen before, during or after ovulation.I wouldn't go just by o-pain.Either use OPK's,cervical mucus checking or bbt charting.I've had midcycle pain every month for as long as I can remember, other than when I was preg.but wouldn't depend on that solely as a fertility sign.Check your cervical mucus,if it's still egg-white or very watery, you are still in your fertile window.Good luck:)

No it is not too late to conceive (if you haven't already). Go ahead and BD again just to cover your bases. Good luck!

i still don't believe that women feel when they are ovulating.
if you do, then no, it's not too late. it's too late when you shed the eggs ovulated that were not "sprouted" if you will. that's called your period. that, i know we feel.
